2 fruit of oranges a day are fighting lung cancer
According to a recent US study, that the orange and red sweet peppers, they have the ability to reduce the risk of lung cancer, caused by smoking.
The study conducted by researchers in aging research center at the University of Tufts of America, and published its findings on Tuesday in the journal (Cancer Prevention Research) Scientific.
The researchers explained that the pigments that give fruit and vegetables their colors bright, reduce the risk of lung cancer caused by smoking.
They noted that the compounds (beta-cryptoxanthin) which gives the orange color yellow or orange, and give sweet red pepper, color, yellow, reduce the number of nicotine receptors necessary to feed the malignant tumor in the lung growth.
The study also found that these compounds may have contributed to the decline in lung malignant tumor growth by 63%.
To get the benefits of orange and pepper, the study advised to eat the equivalent of 870 micrograms (beta-cryptoxanthin), this is equivalent to Tmrtin of oranges or tangerines or Alqrnffil sweet day, for the prevention of lung cancer caused by smoking.
According to the American Lung Association, smoking is the leading cause of lung cancer, where smokers are more likely with 23 visits to develop lung cancer than non-smokers.
A previous study, reported that the compounds that give fruits and vegetables their vibrant colors, known as "carotenoids" supports brain function in the elderly, and has antioxidant properties, as well as the benefits of the visual health and the retina.
She pointed out that "carotenoids" compounds found in fruits and vegetables such as carrots, turnips, spinach, peas, sweet potatoes, squash, peppers, tomatoes, potatoes and oranges.
