Australia deposited passports
Australian authorities plan to use techniques known as "biometrics" in airports, so that passengers will be able to ascend to the aircraft without having to talk to anyone.
Australia hopes that this technology replace the use of a traditional passport through facial recognition techniques, the reader iris and fingerprints.
The Australian Government also plans by 2020 to create a system capable of dealing with 90% of travelers automatically and without human intervention.
This was stated John Koann, head of border security department at the Australian Institute for Strategic Policy, said: "This project will allow travelers who come from other countries to move inside the airport as if they were in the local Mtarathm, with all the sense of the word."
The Government of Australia has launched two years ago, a law allows for the collection of biometric data on Australian citizens and foreigners, including minors, in the Australian airports. These include audio, image and video data, fingerprints and iris scanning, height and weight.
